Io sono il Signore Dio tuo

Avevamo come si suol dire, tirato un sospiro di sollievo nell’ascoltare attraverso la rubrica trasmessa su canale 5, l’intervista ad uno degli autori del libro sui Dieci Comandamenti. Ovviamente per farne una recensione l’abbiamo letto. La delusione è stata altrettanto deprimente quanto l’entusiasmo iniziale. Un volumetto in più per soddisfare le elucubrazioni psicofilosofiche, individuali, altrimenti non si può dire, nell’interpretazione del Primo Comandamento ovvero “Io sono il Signore Dio tuo”. E’ affascinante constatare come una frase così esplicita diventa oggetto di esegetica. Forse noi ci aspettavamo di leggere senza ripensamenti e senza interpretazioni la prima e più importante affermazione delle leggi dette da Dio. Ma l’uomo non si accontenta di aver avuto il dono da Dio di una legge chiara e precisa, deve sempre e comunque imbastardire e riportare alla propria dimensione anche quanto detto da Dio. E’ possibile che per credere, per applicare questa legge, si debba in qualunque modo interpretarla a proprio uso e consumo? Laddove è chiaramente e esplicitamente detto da Dio: “Io sono il Signore Dio tuo”. Più chiaro di così? E’ questione di fede, o c’è o non c’è. S. Anselmo diceva: “io credo in tutto ciò che più assurdo è”. Questa è la fede. Punto e basta. In un momento in cui c’è bisogno di chiarezza, di punti fermi, non è proprio il tempo di analizzare ed interpretare quanto detto da Dio. E’più che sufficiente disquisire, elucubrare sulle leggi emanate dagli uomini per soddisfare le proprie istanze analitiche.


I am the Lord your God

We had, as they say, a sigh of relief when we heard through the daily program transmitted on Channel 5 (Canale 5) the interview with one of the authors of the book about Ten the Commandments. Of course, in order to make a review of it, we have read the book. The disappointment was as big as the enthusiasm at the beginning. One book more to satisfy personal  psycho-philosophical lucubration, we couldn’t define it in another way, about the interpretation of the First Commandment: “I am the Lord your God”. It’s really fascinating how such an explicit statement could become an object of exegetics. Maybe we expected to read the first and most important statement between God’s laws without reconsiderations or interpretations. But Man isn’t satisfied with having from God a precise and defined Law, he must always and anyway animalize and he must bring back to his own dimension even God’s words. Is it possible that everyone of us must interpret God’s law in order to believe and apply it but following their own point of view? God speaks up his own words “I am the Lord your God”. No word can be clearer than this. It’s a matter of faith, either it’s present or it doesn’t exist. Saint Anselm used to say: “I believe in everything that is the most absurd” This is Faith. That’s all. Nowadays, we need clarity, landmarks and we don’t need time to analyze and interpret what God said. Discussing and pondering about man’s laws is more than enough in order to satisfy our own analytic requests.
