CURRICULUM VITAE

Renato Coluccia
Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna where he obtained the Diploma of Specialist in Anaesthetics in 1971. Besides in 1972 he specialized in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at the University of Padua.
Assistant Anaesthetist and Intensive Care Specialist at the Udine General Hospital from 1969 to 1972; Assistant and Junior Consultant at the Brescia General Hospital from ’72 to ’82.
From 1982 to 1991 he was Senior Consultant of the Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Unit, Iseo Local Health Administration No. 36, where he also held temporary posts as Health Director and Coordinator.
From 1991 to date he is the Senior Consultant of the Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy Unit, Istituto Ortopedico G. Pini, Milan, handling the centralized operational unit’s complex organizational problems (personnel management, surgery lists etc.). In this Milanese institute he also increased his clinical interest and studies in anaesthetics, both general and local/regional, blood saving methods and intensive care treatment for patients subject to Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgery.
In September 2002 he activated an Intensive Care Unit, which the hospital lacked and which he has directed since, at the Gaetano Pini hospital. Teaching activity at the School of Nursing and courses on Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. For many years he has been a contracted professor at the 2nd School of Specialization in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care, Università Statale di Milano.
Director and professor of the 1st and 2nd Master’s degree in “Physiopathology and Treatment of Post-Operative Pain in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology” during academic years 2001/2002, 2002/2003, 2003/2004.
Author of about 300 publications (including a few books), he has participated very often as speaker in many conferences, some of which personally organized by him. He also holds managerial posts in some scientific societies.

 

Alfonso D'Aloia
Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1984. Specialization in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at the 2nd Chair in Milan.
From 1983 regularly employed as anaesthetist and intensive care specialist in various hospitals in Lombardy (Iseo Hospital, Istituti Clinici di Perfezionamento, Milan, Ospedale Fate Bene Fratelli, Milan).
Since 1993 he has worked at the Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy Unit, Istituto Ortopedico G. Pini, Milan.
Annual Postgraduate Course Diploma on ‘Clinical Methodology of Headaches - Research and Treatment’, academic year 1989/90, Università Statale di Torino.
Author of 83 scientific papers. Member of the AITOG’s (Associazione Italiana Traumatologia Ortopedia Geriatrica) scientific committee since 1999. Contracted professor at the School of Specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Milan, since 2002.

Sabrina Basilico
Sabrina Basilico graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan on March 23 2001 defending the thesis “Observation study of hospitalized pneumonia cases: their impact on Intensive Care”. Currently a second year student at the 2nd School of Specialization in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care, University of Milan.
