Dr. Mario Sideri was born on April 14, 1953
in Milan, Italy.
Graduated in Medicine (M.D.) at the University of Milan in September
1978, with full marks, “cum laude” discussing a thesis
on “The ultrastructural aspects of some viral infections
of the cervix”, later published on “Annali di Ostetricia,
Ginecologia e Medicina Perinatale”(100:369-378, 1979). In
January 1979 he passed the State examination for the practice
of Medicine in Italy and in all ECC countries as well.
On November 16th 1982 dr. Sideri completed the Specialty School
of Obsterics and Gynecology of the University of Milan with full
marks, “cum laude”, discussing a thesis on the “Ultrastructural
aspects of the placental transfer”.
On November the third 1986 dr. Sideri completed the Specialty
School of Pthological Anatomy, Histology and Laboratory Techniques
of the University of Milan wth full marks, “cum laude”,
discussing a thesis on the “HLA-DR expression on the endocervical
columnar epithelium on the uterine cervix”.
Dr. Sideri received the clinical training at the Department of
Ostetrics and Gynecology of the University of Milan (chairman:
Prof.G.B. Candiani), during the period September 1977 through
September 1984.
From September 1984 to May 1987 he had been working as “Assistant
Gynecologist/Obstetrician”, with a full position, at the
“Fatebenefratelli General Hospital” of Milan, in the
Division of Obsterics and Gynecology.
From May 15th 1987 to October 31th 1990, dr Sideri has been working
as “Assistant Gynecologist/Obstetrician”, with a full
position, in the section of Gynecologic Oncology of the Department
of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Milan (Prima
Clinica; chairman: Prof. G.B. Candiani).
From November 1st 1990 to August 31st 1994 dr. Sideri has been
working as “Assistant Gynecologist/Obstetrician”,
with a full position, in the section of Gynecologic Oncology of
the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University
of Milan (Prima Clinica; chairman: Prof. P.G. Crosignani)
From September 1st 1994 to March 31st 2002 dr. Sideri has been
working as “Deputy Director” Gynecologist/Obstetrician”,
with a full position, in the Division of Gynecology of European
Institute of Oncology, in Milan.
From April 1st 2002 up to now dr. Sideri has been working as “Director,
Preventive Gynecology Unit” in the Division of Gynecology
of European Institute of Oncology, in Milan.
Dr.ssa Francesca Sanvito was born in Milan on
November the 12 th 1974.
Bachelor of Arts in high school of Milan “ Liceo classico
C. Beccaria” on 1993. On 2001 graduated from the medical
school “ Amedeo Avogadro”, University of Piemonte
Orientale. Actually is registered at the 4 th year of post graduate
Gynaecology and Obstetrics course at the same University. From
November the 1 st 2001 to March the 31 th 2003 attended the colposcopy
clinic at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic of Novara’s
University. From April the 1 st 2003 she is attending the Unity
of Preventive Gynaecology of the Gynaecology Division at the European
Institute of Oncology of Milan.
