Umberto Senin

Born in Zara (Dalmatia) on 21 October 1937. His parents were Umberto Senin and Caterina Zurich.
Director of the Institute of Gerontology and Geriatrics - Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Perugia.
Director of the School of Specialization in Geriatrics, University of Perugia.
Past President of the Italian Association of Neurogeriatrics.
Past President of the Italian Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics.
Vice President of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics.
Former member of the scientific committee CUF for the "Monitoring Protocol of Drug Treatment Schedules in Alzheimer's Disease" - Project Chronos.
Director of the Department of Medical Sciences of the Ageing Society - Observatory of Old Age (Rome).

He has authored over 600 publications edited by the most certified national and international reviews, monographs, special columns and books.

His main sectors of scientific interest are: biological markers of aging and frailty in the elderly, cerebral senescence and dementia, aging of the skeletal system and osteoporosis, geriatric methodology and models of care in geriatrics.
