1962-1974 Researcher at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR).
Since 1974 is full professor at “La Sapienza” University,
Rome. Responsible of NMR unit of “Centro Interuniversitario
Grandi Apparecchiature Biomediche nelle Neuroscienze (CIGABIN).
Member of the Scientific Council of the International Society
of Magnetic Resonance (ISMAR) and of the Scientific Committee
of the European Experimental NMR Conference (EENC).
Author of more than 120 publications on international journals
and of two patents, his research activities have attained mainly
the following research fields:
1) structure and properties of solutions of electrolytes: 2) chemical
physics of molecules and macromolecules of biological interest;
3) computational conformational analysis of molecules and macromolecules
of biological interest; 4) in vitro and in vivo metabolism on
cells, perfused organs and living tissues; 5) structure and properties
of models of biological membranes; 6) in vivo NMR imaging and
spectroscopy; 7) metabolomic analysis of genetically modified
vegetable organisms; 8) metabolomics of tumor cells and drug effects.
